Driver Ejected In Single-Vehicle Crash On Southern State Parkway In Farmingdale

A Long Island driver was seriously injured in a single-vehicle crash on the Southern State Parkway.

The incident happened in Farmingdale, in the westbound lanes near exit 31, at around 8 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 24.

New York State Police said a Ford vehicle crossed all three lanes causing it to overturn. The driver, a 54-year-old Massapequa Park man, was ejected and suffered serious injuries.

He was taken by ambulance to Nassau University Medical Center in East Meadow, where he was listed in critical condition.

No other vehicles were involved in the crash and nobody else was injured.

State Police are investigating the cause and asked any witnesses to call 631-756-3300.
